Welcome

The new Emotive Music Library is the creation of Chris Nicolaides, who has been the composer of choice for the BBC Arts Department on many of its landmark projects since 2007. These include:

Britain’s Great War –  Jeremy Paxman (2014)

Britain and the Sea – David Dimbleby (2013)

Empire –  Jeremy Paxman (2012)

Shakespeare in Italy – Francesco da Mosto (2012)

The Manor Reborn –  Penelope Keith (2011)

The Queen’s Palaces –  Fiona Bruce (2011)

Seven Ages of Britain –  David Dimbleby (2010)

The Victorians –  Jeremy Paxman (2009)

Francesco’s Mediterranean Voyage – Francesco da Mosto (2008)

Adventures in Architecture –  Dan Cruickshank (2008)

When describing Chris’s music, the word ’emotive’ has often been used by both the production team and viewers who contact him, hence the choice of name for the library! If you are looking for music that will ‘move’ your audience – whatever the emotion – we believe you will find something here. As well as compositions by Chris, the library will soon include other composers whose music fits in with the ethos of the Emotive Music library. Best Wishes,
The Emotive Music team.
